Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for a job with CAMP U.S. that I saw advertised in the local newspaper. I have attached a copy of my CV.

I am currently taking my final exams at Jesuïtes El Clot and I expect to achieve good marks because I am determined, focused student. When I finish school, I want to study a university degree in social education in Imperial College London. Afterwards, I would like to work in social services because I want to help people and specifically in social exclusion or emergency centers, residences and flats. Due to this, I think that the job would be excellent experience of me.

At school, philosophy and citizenship are my favourites subjects because I believe coexistence is extremely important. Moreover, I take good marks in English because I go an academy to practice and in my free time, I watch American films in VOSE and I listen to music in English. In addition, I like to be with children and teach them arts like photography or maybe technology like computer programs.

I believe that my ability to get along with anyone and my experience in solving problems in a retail setting make me ideally suited for this job.

CAMP U.S. Job interview. Sara Bouzas

INTERVIEWER: Good afternoon, nice to meet you. Take a seat, please.

INTERVIWEE: Hello, I’m really glad to finally meet you, sir. 

INTERVIEWER: I would like to ask you a few questions.

INTERVEWEE: Sure. I’ll do my best to answer them.

INTERVIEWER: Can you tell me why are you interested in this job?

INTERVIWEE: Yes, of course. I think that what you are doing in this program is really important for those kids who don’t have as much privileges as the others and I’d love to be part of this.

INTERVIEWER: What are your previous work experiences? 

INTERVIWEE: I haven’t had the chance to work full time due to my studies but I’ve been having a few part time jobs. For example, I worked in a restaurant for a few months and I’ve been tutoring some kids in order to get money for my college tuition. 

INTERVIWER: We don’t have much time left, so I’ll ask you one last question. Why do you think that we should give you this job and not to someone else?

INTERVIEWEE: Honestly, I think that there may be people with more work experience that me but not as keen to do this job. 

INTERVIWER: When could you start?

INTERVIEWEE: Whenever it’s best for you.

Mike (interviewer): Good morning, Alison. I am Mike.

Alison (interviewee): Good morning

Mike: How are you doing?

Alison: I am doing fine, thank you. And you?

Mike: Everything going well. Okay let’s start the intervew. Are you ready?

Alison: Sure

Mike: First of all, let me tell with who are you talking with; I am part of volunteers choosinh department. As you know, we are looking for people who can come next summer to help with the children.

Alison: Yes, Iknow. Please tell me more about when and how are you planing it

Mike: We don’t have the dates but it would be between the ends of June or firsts of July. That’s why were are looking for someone who could be abble to come even the dates were finally modified.

Alison: That wouldn’t be a problem for me

Mike: In your email applying you said that you have already done volunteers, what would you destacate about it?

Alison: How did I felt. Helping those people who need it made me feel useful, I mean, I could help people who didn't have any resources and despite of it they were so cheerful and grateful with me. It's so beautiful how do you connect.

This will be a job interview for a vacancy in CAPM U.S. after they had answered our email asking for this expected interview.

John: So you were telling me that you have good people skills and multi-tasking...

Mario: Yeah, I'm this kind of person that could do nearly whatever someone tell me if I dedicate some time to learn to do that. I know how to cook some food, I'm good at photography, I have also good leadership skills, you know, right?

John: Sure, I know what you are talking about. Let me ask you something that interest me. What about your language level?

Mario: Well... Emmm... In English I have the advance certificate but I could have proficiency certificate and in my foreign language that is Spanish, I have the B2. So I can tell you that I manage well with languages. Could I ask you something too?

John: Of course, go ahead.

Mario: About the salary, how much do you pay?

Mar's Interview

We have the chance to interview Steve Jobs, an American business magnate, entrepreneur,  industrial designer, investor, and media proprietor, more known as the founder of Apple.

Astrid: What was your favorite subject at high school?

Steve: I love numbers and solving math problems, so, my favorites subjects were mathematics, physics and technology.  

Astrid: When you were a kid, did you like electronics and gadgets?

Steve:  Yes, I really liked electronics; in fact, I joined a club called “Hewlett-Packard Explorer Club ", where different engineers showed their new products. 

Astrid:  So, when did you realized that you want to work with electronics?

Astrid: I heard that you left university. What is due this fact?

Steve: That is true; I had to left university at six month due to the high prices of his studies.

Steve: When I was a kid, in concrete when I saw a computer for the first time at the age of 12. There I realized that computers were my life.

Astrid:  Tell us about the beginnings of Apple

Steve:  That is funny; I started Apple with my friend and my workmate Steve Wozniak at my garage and then we sold it.

Astrid: Oh, that is interesting! I would like to hear more about you and your life but we not have more time.

Steve: It is not a problem; we can meet in other interview, thank you so much.

Xavi's Interview Steve Jobs

Bjorn: Hello, we had the chance to interview Steve Jobs. Let’s ask him some questions.

Bjorn: First of all I would want to ask you about your life.

Steve: Well, my name is Steve jobs, I’m 57 years old, I’m the founder of apple as you all know and I studied on Reed College on Portland, but 6 months later I left because it was too expensive and I couldn’t pay it, but I kept studying 18 months more.

Bjorn: Oh, I didn’t know that, can you tell us more things about you that we don’t know?

Steve: Yeah, of course. One thing that most people don’t’ know about me is that I’m adopted.

Bjorn: Oh really?

Steve: Yes, and my father is a Syrian called Abdulfattah Janda, and my mother that was American called Joanna Carole Schieble.

Bjorn: I didn’t know that… A part from your life, let’s talk about your interest about the gadgets. When you were young did u like all this type of electronic components?

Steve: Of course, I always loved this gadgets and how they work and also the design about them because one of my favourites subjects was the design of some logos and the art, so I like how were the electronic components made.

Bjorn: That’s interesting… But for our bad luck we have to finish this interview because we don’t have more time.

Steve: No problem, was a pleasure to ask your questions and was a good time.

Bjorn: Thank you! Hope I can interview you in other moment. Bye!

Iraida’s formal email

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am writing today to complain about your new product MP3 Player I bought last month on your website. I am extremely disappointed about the quality of the product as well as the fast information that you have written on your website.

First of all, the product arrived three weeks after, in spite of I have paid the fastest delivery. 

When I opened the MP3, I did not find the charger was mentioned in the description of the product. It seems to me very disrespectful for your part to sell a product, promising articles which do not appear.

Secondly, when I decided to return the product because of the really bad quality of it and the high price, I had plenty of problems with your website.

I did not find the option to refund and it was very difficult to search solutions for my problem. Therefore, the only way I find to communicate with the company, was writing you an email.
