Hello Sarah,
As you know, I'll be spending some time in Sydney with your family, and I would like to get to learn a lot about Australia during my stay there. Perhaps you could tell me about your country.
I've looked up a couple of things on the internet that really drew my attention.
One thing I'm quite interested about is the large number of peculiar animals that lives in Australia, not only in Sydney. The country's really known for that.
Another thing is the places you can go visit and learn about their history. Like the Sidney Harbour Bridge or the Sidney Opera House.
It would be great to meet up sometime when I get there.
Next time I write, I'll let you know about other stuff I would like to know because I'm very excited to finally go to Australia and I can't think much.
