Dialogue - Eric Martí

OPTION 1: DIALOGUE

A boy is confronting his friend about a serious topic in an empty classroom. He is certain that his friend has been bullying others and wants to help him correct this behaviour.

EDWARD: Luke, let’s be clear here. I know you’ve been picking on students recently and seriously, at first, I freaked out because I didn’t see you as a bully but now… now I can’t see you as anything else. And before you interrupt me, I want to say that I won’t judge you, ok? But this has to stop!

LUKE: Oh, shut up, dude! You know nothing about what’s been going on! you wanna know what’s happening? I think that maybe you are too bored of your own life that you focus on mine to make yourself feel better!

EDWARD: Listen, Luke. I know you’re going through hard times but you’re harassing innocents. Maybe you should go to the Principal’s office and ask to see a psychologist. You’ve always been such a sensitive boy and I know you can do better. Please, I’m your friend so I want you to trust me, ok? Everything will be fine, I promise.

LUKE: Now that you’re saying it, maybe I’ve really been acting like a jerk. I don’t know, everything’s been so messed up lately… Okay, I’ll follow your advice and I’ll get help. Thanks for being here, Edward. You’re a real friend.

EDWARD: It’s nice to see the old Luke back!  Come on and get up, I’ll help you with anything you need. I’ll accompany you to the Principal’s office.
