DIALOGUE
Me and my friend Jack were
walking back from school when I decided to approach the topic of his bully behavior towards a guy named Ryan from our school, that has
been increasing this past few days.
Sara: We should talk about your behavior lately. You have never been so mean
with anyone so what’s your problem with Ryan? He seems to be a nice guy.
Jack: I think you are overreacting. I mean, I guess I’ve been bothering him
more than usual lately but I don’t think it’s such a big deal.
Sara: Well, it is. He has been acting weird this past few days. He looks sad
and I think you’ve something to do with it. When you bully someone you can
cause them many problems such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem…
And I think you have taken this too far. What’s your problem with him anyway? You
used to be good friends before and you acting like this all of a sudden it’s
hurting him.
Jack: It’s not like I hate him or something. It’s complicated. Honestly I don’t
know what’s gotten into me. When I’m with him I don’t know how to act and I
guess my first impulse is to be mean. I feel weird when he’s around, and it
pisses me of not knowing why I’m feeling this way.
Sara: Well, it’s doesn’t sound like you hate him. Can it be that you’re into
him?
Jack: It can’t be. I’ve never been into a guy before so why would he be
different?
Sara: Well, I think you should talk to him, try to be nice to get started.
And who knows, maybe he will surprise you.
Jack: Wait, has he told you something?
Sara: You’ll have to figure it out by yourself but bulling is definitely not the
way to do it.
Jack: You’re right. I guess I owe him an apology. But that doesn’t mean I
have feelings for him or anything.
Sara: If you say so…
