In my opinion, I think it's not bad that both tobacco and alcohol are legal, but only if you don't have too much of none of them.
First, I think that it doesn't matter that tobacco and alcohol are prohibited. It would happen like it’s happening with stronger drugs, such as marijuana or other dangerous substances. If people want to, they can still buy them illegally, and that won’t solve anything, since it continues to harm people's health even though at a higher price.
Then, if people who smoke or drink alcohol in a responsible way and do not abuse the consumption of this substances, the damage they can do to people's health is quite low, yet if the consumers smoke or drink a lot, they should have to reduce the amounts they have of these substances.
For these reasons, I think that substances like alcohol or tobacco, should not be illegal.
